Wendy Through Time

1976 - The Phoenix's Birth

Born in Long An’s rice fields as American bombs still smoldered, Wendy entered the world with two inheritances:

  • A scholar’s blood (granddaughter of historian Trần Văn Giàu)

  • A king’s defiance (granddaughter of Emperor Duy Tân)
…and no milk to drink. Her first cry was a hunger strike.

At 6, she learned currency wasn’t money – it was:

  • 1 kg of snails = 1 notebook

  • 3 hours of scavenging = 1 bowl of rice
While her classmates memorized poems, she memorized escape routes from monsoon floods.

1982 - Childhood at Gunpoint

1996??? - University of the Streets

No money for classrooms, she became:

  • 5AM: Osin scrubbing floors

  • 12PM: Blackmarket translator

  • 9PM: Self-taught student under streetlamps
Graduated summa cum laude in Survival.

Bill Clinton’s handshake didn’t feel real. Just yesterday, she’d been the girl restaurants shooed away. Now she stood in heels (blistering, borrowed) representing a Fortune 500 company.

2000 - Nike & The President

20xx - The 100,000₫ Bride

At 20, she signed her future away for what rich girls spent on lipstick – monthly hospital money for her dying father. The marriage certificate burned hotter than Saigon’s sun.
